Location – Meno Mojo Beach Resort, Gili Meno, Indonesia
Indonesia is the world’s largest archipelago and is renowned for its beautiful islands sprinkled through the warm waters of the Indian Ocean and is home to some of the world’s best beaches, diving, scenery and surfing. There are some 300 ethnic groups within Indonesia and roughly 14,000 islands each bringing with them their own cultures, colours and flavours to this naturally beautiful and richly diverse holiday location.
The Gili Islands have become the getaway destination for visitors to Bali & Lombok. Bali is an established tourist destination for an unforgettable holiday and Lombok is fast on track to become a thriving tourist hotspot - it is a group of small and beautiful islands stretching 90km from north to south and 80 kms from east to west.
There are many untouched, unexplored seriously beautiful beaches, a variety of captivating landscapes and seascapes – the coral and fish here are amazing. Mount Rinjani, in the north elevates to 3,726m above sea level and forms part of a stunning national park - to climb Mount Rinjani is said to be an unforgettable experience. Just 1 km off Lombok’s coast and easily accessible by sea or air, the middle of the Gili Islands, Gili Meno is renowned for its pristine beaches, relaxed way of life and magnificent snorkeling and diving which offers some of the very best in the world. Thriving with wildlife this amazing island is a truly magical experience for all those who visit - exploring the island is fascinating by horse & cart, push bike or just walking – there are no cars or motorbikes on the island. Gili Meno has also become the ‘turtle capital’ of the world. Sanctuaries on the island nurture the baby turtles until they are at least 6 months old.
Gili Meno is a very special place and is protected from over development by very astute local council authorities. The island is nothing short of picture perfect, ringed by white sandy beaches with spectacular views across to Lombok and Bali.
